In Loving Memory of Barry Webb
The hardest project we at Heritage Craftsmen have heretofore made. This is the casket for our dear friend, mentor and second grandfather, Barry Webb.
He was a courageous fighter and though he finally stopped fighting cancer we considered it a great honor to fulfill his request that we make his casket for him.
The simplicity of the design spoke of the purest form of woodworking Barry enjoyed, and the simple honest man we worked with.
The casket includes removable handles and ovelay designs of quartersawn oak.
The pine box was a gift of love by our hardwood supplier, who planted the trees as a young man and acquired the pine when they were harvested some 20 years later.
(This was his final gift to Barry.)
...Like the man, the casket is completed, but not finished.
