This desk we built a few months ago in 2007, made out of highly flamed quartersawn white oak.

Some of the wood in this desk Barry* had saved over the last 5 years for some special project. But he believed that his time on earth may be shorter than anyone thought so he decided to use some of that special wood in building this desk.

* Barry died of cancer on January 2nd, 2008.

The slats on both sides of the desk are made of some of that special flamed oak.

"...gosh I love that stuff!"

As with all of our furniture drawers we use full extension drawer glides.

Notice the beautiful flame on the top of the desk. We also chamfer our corners for an added touch of elegance.
